Sporting interested in Liverpool’s Camacho

According to Sky Sports News, Sporting Lisbon are very interested in signing Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho – with some reports indicating that a deal has already been agreed. At the age of just 18 it certainly seems like the teenage sensation is wise beyond his years, featuring at right back during the club’s loss to Wolves in the FA Cup earlier in the week. While they obviously didn’t come away with the win, Camacho certainly gave a solid account of himself.

The Reds likely want to keep hold of Camacho in case he is called upon later on in the campaign, but the experience of playing for Sporting could do him the world of good.

He’d almost certainly get some consistent first team football over in Portugal, and with Liverpool being out of both domestic cup competitions, you have to question whether or not he’d play much of a role at Anfield throughout the remainder of the campaign.
