Sporting Kansas City have announced the capture of Haitian midfielder Soni Mustivar on their official website.
The 25-year-old has joined the club from Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti and will be added to the roster following the receipt of International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.
Mustivar was born in France and began his professional career at Bastia, where he played for the senior side between 2008 and 2011, making 21 league appearances.
Following a loan stint with Orleans, the midfielder moved to Romania, signing for Petrolul Ploiesti, where he has remained for the next three years.
Mustivar developed into an important player at his new club, featuring in 76 league matches and even got to captain the side.
While earning four caps for France Under-20 side, the midfielder later switched his allegiance to Haiti, and went on to make six appearances for the senior national team, featuring at the 2014 Caribbean Cup.
