Portuguese giants Sporting CP are showing interest in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Haris Seferovic, O Jogo has revealed.
The Lions are in the market for a new centre forward as everything suggests that Islam Slimani will soon be leaving the club.
And while Sporting aimed high with Robin van Persie, Lukas Podolski and Mario Gomez, they have now turned their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt striker Haris Seferovic.
The Lions coach Jorge Jesus initially wanted to bring the Switzerland international to Benfica, and he has now reignited the interest in his services.
Sporting hope to agree a loan deal with an option to buy, and it remains to be seen whether Eintracht will be ready to do business.
Haris Seferovic, 24, struggled for form last season, scoring mere 3 goals in 29 league appearances, while he also represented Switzerland at the Euro 2016 finals, but failed to find the net in four outings, missing a number of clear-cut chances in the process.
