Primeira Liga outfit Sporting Lisbon are considering summer bid for Lorient full-back Raphael Guerreiro, Portuguese daily newspaper Record has learned.
Having just appointed Jorge Jesus as their new coach, the Lions have big ambitions for the new season and they are on the lookout for potential replacements.
Sporting have so far been linked with Fabio Coentrao, Bruno Alves, Oscar Cardozo and few more high-quality footballers, with Raphael Guerreiro the latest player on their radar.
The Portugal international exploded onto the biggest stage last season, catching the eye of French giants PSG, among other clubs, in the process.
Guerreiro is now widely tipped to quit Lorient for greener pastures and Sporting seem ready to offer him the opportunity to return to Portugal.
The 21-year-old, who scored a goal in his second appearance for the national team, was in fine form last season, making 34 league appearances for les Merlus and scoring 7 goals.
