Sporting Lisbon have signed Ivan Piris and Vitor Emanuel Cruz da Silva from Sao Paulo and Pacos de Ferreira respectively on the final day of the summer transfer window.
The deals were confirmed by the Portuguese Professional Football League shortly after the window closed.
Sao Paulo defender Ivan Piris arrives on a season-long loan and is expected to provide competition for Cedric Soares on the right hand side.
The 24-year-old made no less than 29 Serie A appearances while on loan at Roma last term, but that was not enough to persuade the club chiefs to make the transfer permanent.
Meanwhile, central midfielder Vitor has joined the club in a permanent deal from Pacos de Ferreira for an undisclosed fee.
The experienced footballer was in fine form last term as he helped the minnows secure the final Champions League berth, scoring 5 goals in 29 Primeira Liga matches for the club.
