Sporting Lisbon go after Porro

According to a recent report from Record, Sporting Lisbon are closing in on the loan signing of Manchester City youngster Pedro Porro.

The 20-year-old is currently out on loan with Real Valladolid, but the belief is that City are eager to send him back out on loan instead of bringing him back to the Etihad. With youth on his side, many believe he could be capable of great things in the future, but now isn’t the time for him to make a run at the first team under Pep Guardiola.

Sporting, on the other hand, pride themselves on being a club that is capable of nurturing young talent. They have the facilities necessary to guide him in the right direction, and within a year or two, City will almost certainly take a look at him as someone who could make an extended push for the starting XI. Alas, that time hasn’t come quite yet.
