Portuguese media outlet A Bola has learned that Sporting Lisbon have rekindled their interest in AIK Solna defender Alexander Milosevic.
The 22-year-old was one of the players the Lions looked at during the summer and they seem ready to return for the Swedish centre-back.
With his side strugglng in the opening exchanges, coach Marco Silva aim to sign a new centre-back in January and Milosevic appears to be his number one target, while Palermo’s Michel Morganella is no longer on club’s radar.
The interesting thing is that the player started his career as a striker, then moved to centre midfield and switched to centre-back ahead of joining AIK.
Milosevic has largely impressed in defence since signing for the Swedish giants, making 80 league appearances and scoring 4 goals, while starting one game for Sweden in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
And with his current deal due to expire in December 2016, chances are that AIK will be interested in hearing Sporting’s proposal.
