Sporting Lisbon have announced the signing of Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Utrecht on their official website.
The 22-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract at Jose Alvalade, with Sporting paying €5.4 million for his services.
The Dutch international was officially presented at a press conference yesterday evening.
One of the hottest prospects in Dutch football was evidently delighted with his new club.
“There is nothing that is not good at Sporting,” Van Wolfswinkel told reporters.
“The club have a great coach, a great team and great fans. I am here to help Sporting.
”I want to play, score and give my best for Sporting. Being a forward it is natural to want to score a lot of goals.”
