Sporting Lisbon have made it clear that star winger Diego Capel will not be sold on the cheap, reports A Bola.

The Spaniard has expressed his desire to leave Estadio Jose Alvalade this summer after a number of top European clubs attempted to add him to their ranks.

Marseille, Malaga and Liverpool are believed to be among interested clubs, but, in spite of the poor financial situation, Sporting chiefs have already rejected several offers for the player’s services.

According to A Bola, they have informed the player he will be allowed to leave only if a club match their €7 million asking price.

The 25-year-old raised quite a few eyebrows when he opted to leave Sevilla to join Sporting two years back, and it appears he has regretted his decision.

Capel, nonetheless, has two successful seasons behind him on personal level, having scored 9 goals in 52 Primeira Liga matches.
