Gareth Bale believes Tottenham have overcome their recent dip in form and has urged his team-mates to overtake Arsenal.
Spurs were 12 points clear of Arsene Wenger’s side last month but a run of five league games without a win has seen Harry Redknapp’s side slip to fourth.
Tottenham secured a point at Stamford Bridge on Saturday following a 0-0 draw with Chelsea and the Wales international believes his side’s display should act as a springboard to end the season on a strong note.
“We haven’t been at our best in the last month so it was vitally important that we put in a good performance and got a positive result at Stamford Bridge,” Bale told the club’s official website.
“Now hopefully we can get back to winning in the next game and then kick on and get that third spot.
“We need Arsenal to lose now so we can get back on level terms.
“The lads all know we have stopped the rot now. I think we have had our blip now and now we can look forward to some positive results and get back where we belong.”
