Spurs agree Lo Celso deal

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Real Betis over the fee for the potential transfer of Giovani Lo Celso, according to Daily Record.

Spurs have already boosted their midfield section by breaking their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyon, but they’ve also been facing the prospect of losing Christian Eriksen in the near future with the Denmark international refusing to sign an extension on his contract which expires next summer. He even spoke of the time perhaps being ripe for new challenges recently.

On the other hand, Betis have already secured the services of Nabil Fekir from Lyon a year after his proposed move to Liverpool fell through.

The La Liga side will receive €52 million from Spurs as a base fee for Lo Celso, with further €8 million possibly coming in the form of add-ons. The 23-year-old is apparently a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plan to add pace and technical ability to his midfield.
