Tottenham Hotspur are once again ready to move for Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez, according to the Express.
The 25 year old was linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the summer, when his former manager Mauricio Pocchetino swapped the South Coast for North London.
He and Morgan Schneiderlin were expected to join Southampton’s summer exodus, and both players continue to be a target of some of the Premier League’s big hitters.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also monitoring Rodriguez’s situation, with the former Burnely man expected to return from the knee injury that ruled him out of this summer’s World Cup finals in around two months’ time and with new signings Graziano Pelle, Saido Mane and Dusan Tadic impressing since moving to St Mary’s, manager Ronald Koeman may be tempted to do business.
Southampton won for a sixth time in nine league games to keep them second in the table, and they are now priced at just 4/1 to finish in the top four.
