Tottenham Hotspur were eliminated from the FA Cup on penalties at the hands of Norwich City on Wednesday. After the game, midfielder Eric Dier climbed into the stands of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to confront a fan who had reportedly been insulting his younger brother.

While admitting that it was something football professionals shouldn’t do, Mourinho claims that that’s exactly what ‘any one of us would do’ in those circumstances and he would be disappointed if the club took action against Dier for the incident.

Frankly, it’s hard to disagree with the Portuguese on that one.
