Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm, according to Sky Sports.
The 30 year old, who was part of the Netherlands squad at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, has been given permission to speak to the North London club, who are the only Premier League side not to bring in any new players this so far this summer.
Swansea full-back Ben Davies is also expected to complete a move to White Hart Lane in the coming days while midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is set to head in the opposite direction.
Should the Vorm deal be concluded, he will compete with France international Hugo Lloris for the number one spot, while veteran keeper Brad Friedel recently signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
Spurs begin the season with a trip to West Ham United, where they can be backed at 11/10 to pick up all three points.
