Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their efforts to sign talented midfielder Bubacar Boi Djalo from Sporting Lisbon, according to the Daily Mirror.
Spurs have been alerted of the youngster’s potential and they plan to lure him to White Hart Lane at the earliest opportunity.
The defensive midfielder is a member of Sporting Lisbon’s Under-19 side, but he does not have a professional contract at Estadio Jose Alvalade and should be available on a cut-price deal.
Spurs have contacted the youngster’s agent to register their interest and they are confident they can win the chase for his signature despite interest from Italy.
Even if he has yet to play his first game at senior level, Djalo has been likened to Juventus hotshot Paul Pogba for his style of play and is predicted a bright future in the game.
His suitors Tottenham face Fiorentina at Artemio Franchi in the return match of the Europa League last 32 stage clash, and they are 13/5 to win in Florence.
