Daily Mail is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks with Marseille over French winger Florian Thauvin.
It is no secret that Spurs are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements and the talented Frenchman could be the first player to arrive at White Hart Lane in the summer.
Tottenham decided to make their interest concrete after it was revealed that Thauvin would be probably sold at the earliest opportunity and they have already held several rounds of talks with the Ligue 1 side.
While Chelsea and Valencia are also keen on the £15 million rated midfielder, Spurs are clearly leading the chase at the moment.
Thauvin has shown a great deal of potential since arriving from Lille, but coach Marcelo Bielsa and club chiefs have been disappointed with his unprofessional behaviour that eventually cost him a place in the starting line-up.
The fact the 22-year-old was left out of the squad to face Metz is enough to suggest his spell at Stade Velodrome is drawing to a close.
