Spurs closing in on Becks swoop

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he is hoping to complete the loan signing of David Beckham by the end of this week.

Spurs are currently holding talks with Beckham’s parent club Los Angeles Galaxy, but reports claim a deal is imminent.

“I think he could be here on Sunday possibly if what I’m being told on the grapevine is right,” said the Spurs boss.

“The clubs are talking and there is a good chance it will happen.

“Hopefully he will come to the game, I’m sure. I’m not 100 per cent sure but he could be here on Sunday. ”

Beckham could feature for Spurs against his former club Manchester United next Sunday.
