Tottenham Hotspur are ready to shore up their defence with moves for Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson and Ryan Bertrand of Southampton, according to the Daily Star.
The North London club are lining up reinforcements with Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld both linked with moves elsewhere and have the England pair high on their list of targets.
The duo could cost a combined £80m with Mawson valued the highest of the two at £50m.
Rose is expected to move to Manchester United while a number of clubs are set to compete for Alderweireld’s services.
Mawson has impressed since signing for Swansea, racking up sixty-eight appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
Bertrand has been with Southampton for the past four seasons and has played one hundred and forty games in that time, netting on six occasions.
Both players are expected to be included in England’s squad for this summer’s World Cup finals.
