Tottenham Hotspur are considering a January bid for Southampton stars Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez, according to Daily Mirror.
Former Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino is not satisfied with his options at White Hart Lane and is hoping to recruit the two footballers he knows all too well having coached them at St Mary’s.
While Morgan Schneiderlin has developed into one of Premier League’s top midfielders, Jay Rodriguez was unfortunate to suffer a serious injury at the time when he was playing the best football of his career.
At the same time, Spurs are showing interest in Napoli stopper Raul Albiol, although it remains to be seen whether the Azzurri would be keen to sell.
Tottenham Hotspur also plan to offload a number of high earners, with Emmanuel Adebayor, Jan Vertonghen, Aaron Lennon and Moussa Dembele all linked with January exit.
USA international defender DeAndre Yedlin is arriving in January as he is set to receive a work permit to complete his move from Seattle Sounders.
