Tottenham Hotspur continue to keep close tabs on AS Roma striker Mattia Destro, according to Il Messagero.
Spurs have been unsuccessfully trying to sign a high-profile centre forward this summer, but they are not yet ready to give up.
Despite being quoted a €30 million asking price for Destro, Tottenham reportedly remain interested in the Italy international.
The 23-year-old has failed to nail down a regular starting berth at Stadio Olimpico in spite of showing a great deal of potential and he is believed to be tempted by the interest from the North London side.
Mattia Destro initially joined Roma on loan from Genoa two years back, before the Giallorossi purchased his contract last summer.
The talented forward was especially impressive last season, netting 13 times in 20 Serie A matches, while scoring 1 goal in 3 World Cup qualifiers for Italy.
Roma officials still see Destro as a hot prospect for the future and will only sell him if they receive a substantial offer for his services.
