Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach to sign Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj, according to the Express.
The twenty-six year old was watched by Spurs officials as the North London side drew 1-1 with the Serie A outfit in the first leg of their Europa League round of thirty-two tie last week, and now could be set for a switch to White Hart Lane.
Badelj moved to Florence in from Hamburg in the summer of 2014 and has so far racked up sixty-one appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
Internationally, he has been capped seventeen times for his country, netting his only goal for them so far in a 3-1 win over Malta in qualification for the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
Tottenham currently sit in second place in the Premier League, two points behind leaders Leicester City and can be backed at a price of 5/2 to win the division.
