Spurs in Tomiyasu talks

Tottenham Hotspur are working on signing Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

The North London club have apparently offered €15 million plus potential add-ons for the 22-year-old defender, but it is believed that the Serie A club want at least €17m as a guaranteed part of the fee, as well as add-ons.

Bologna signed Tomiyasu from Belgian side Sint-Truden in 2019 for €9m, and his performances in the Italian top flight in the last two years have caught the eyes of a number of clubs. Manchester United also have him on their list of potential targets, though he isn’t among their priorities at the moment. Atlanta have inquired about his availability as well, but have been informed of his desire to join Spurs.

Fabio Paratici, the newly appointed sporting director at Spurs is handling the talks on their behalf, keeping head coach Nuno Espirito Santo informed of the progress made.
