Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for the 25-year-old Napoli attacking midfielder Lorenzo Insigne, according to reports from Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport.
Italy international forward has been monitored by Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp’s side will face stiff competition for a player contracted to Napoli until 2019.
Lorenzo Insigne has been negotiating a new deal with his Serie A club, but the talks have reportedly hit a stumbling block with Insigne demanding over £100,000 a week Napoli are unwilling to sanction.
Aurelio De Laurentis is not ready to meet his player’s demands and is believed to be willing to let him go, but Partenopei will not let him leave on cheap with the player being valued at £44 million.
Italian international Lorenzo Insigne had 12 international caps to his name for Italy and was also linked with a move to West Ham during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old made 8 Serie A appearances this season but is yet to score a goal.
