Spurs join race for Ayew

ESPN is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the chase for Marseille forward Andre Ayew.

It is no secret that Spurs are in the market for attacking reinforcements and it was recently revealed they had submitted an official proposal for Italy striker Simone Zaza.

According to ESPN, Marseille’s Andre Ayew is also on their radar, with the Ghanaian available on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has a long list of suitors among Europe’s top sides, but not too many clubs are capable of matching his high wage demands.

It is for this reason that Tottenham currently lead the chase for the player’s signature, who reportedly wants to move to English Premier League.

Andre Ayew developed into an important player for Marseille following loan spells with Arles and Lorient, and has so far bagged 41 goals in 154 league appearances for the French giants, while also featuring in 24 Champions League matches.
