Spurs join race for Guarin; Kazim-Richards set for Feyenoord move

hot-transfer-newsSpurs join race for Guarin

Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as favourites to sign Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.

It is no secret the Colombia international hopes to leave Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the summer transfer window and the club are ready to sell at a reasonable price.

Inter Milan are prepared to cash in on the midfielder if their €15 million asking price is met, but it remains to be seen whether one of the interested sides will step up their interest in the coming days.

While Manchester United and Juventus are no longer keen, Tottenham Hotspur appear to be in a pole position at the moment.

Spurs plan to reinforce their creative department and they believe Guarin would be a very good addition to the squad at White Hart Lane.

Fredy Guarin, 28, joined the Nerazzurri from FC Porto in January 2012 and has since bagged 8 goals in 70 Serie A outings.

Kazim-Richards set for Feyenoord move

Former Sheffield United forward Colin Kazim-Richards is reportedly set to join Feyenoord on a season-long loan from Bursaspor.

The Eredivisie giants have turned their attention towards the former Turkey international after failing in their attempts to sign one of John Guidetti, Bas Dost and Duvan Zapata.

According to De Telegraaf, they are on the verge of agreeing a loan deal for the 27-year-old footballer.

Colin Kazim-Richards played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United before joining Fenerbahce in 2007, but his career has since taken a turn for the worse.

The attacker went on to feature for Toulouse, Galatasaray, Olympiakos and Blackburn ahead of signing for Bursaspor last summer.

But, having failed to score a single goal in 16 league matches, the well-travelled forward is set to embark on a new chapter in his career.

Vermeer nears Ajax exit

Dutch goalkeeper Keneth Vermeer is on the verge of leaving Ajax in search of first team football, Voetbal International understands.

The highly rated shot-stopper has just one year left on his deal at Amsterdam ArenA and is likely to be available for mere €1 million.

Vermeer lost his place in the side to Jasper Cillessen last term and despite starting the Vitesse game last weekend, he remains second choice keeper at Ajax.

As a result, the 28-year-old has expressed his desire to leave the club this summer and it is highly unlikely the Amsterdammers will stand in his way.

Kenneth Vermeer has spent his entire career so far at Ajax, making a total of 103 Eredivisie appearances for the Dutch giants.

He has also earned 4 Netherlands caps and last played for the national team in March 2013 as he kept clean sheets in World Cup qualifiers against Estonia and Romania.
