Spurs join race to sign Darlow

Tottenham Hotspur have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Karl Darlow, according to the Mirror.

New Spurs first team coach Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring in competition for first choice shot stopper Hugo Lloris, who has himself been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane though the club have so far rejected all offers for the France international.

The North London club are also interested in signing Cardiff City’s David Marshall, though they face competition from fierce rivals Arsenal in the battle to secure his services.

43 year-old Brad Friedel last week sign a new one year deal at Spurs, though his new role will include ambassadorial duties in his native America.

Spurs finished sixth in the Premier League last season, and can be backed at a generous price of 10/3 to achieve qualification for the Champions League amid stiff competition next year.
