Tottenham are interested in signing Russia attacker Alan Dzagoev from CSKA Moscow according to the player’s agent and father.
The 22-year-old impressed at Euro 2012, scoring three goals in the group stages for Dick Advocaat’s side, but could not stop the team from crashing out of the tournament in their final game of the group stages after losing to Greece.
Dzagoev’s agent and father, Tariel, said there were plenty of offers for the playmaker to ponder, including one from Spurs.
He has warned his son of the dangers of making a poor decision after watching Yuri Zhirkov fail to make an impact following a big-money move to Chelsea.
Dzagoev’s father told the Daily Mail: “I don’t know if he will stay at CSKA. There are offers – from Spurs and other clubs.
“But I tell him not to hurry. Yuri Zhirkov ran off to Chelsea and sat on the bench.”
Having previously admitted he would like a new challenge away from Moscow, Dzagoev will hope to have increased the interest in his signature with his displays in Poland and Ukraine.
Reports suggest a bid in the region of 15 million pounds would be needed to secure his services but there is confusion as to when his contract with CSKA is due to expire.
