Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Adel Taarabt has joined the club’s London neighbours Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee. The 29 year old, who spent the 09/10 season on loan at Loftus Road, has signed a three year contract with the Hoops.
Taarabt was billed as the next Zinedine Zidane when Tottenham signed him from French outfit Lens in 2007. However his career graph did not quite go the same away as the legendary midfielder- he made only nine appearances for Spurs between 2007 and 2010.
QPR boss Neil Warnock was delighted with Taarabt’s acquisition and said that he gave the Hoops that extra edge in their bid for promotion. Taarabt scored seven times for QPR last season.
