Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes league leaders Manchester United are more worried about Arsenal and Chelsea than his side.
Tottenham are unbeaten in 11 matches and have won their past three games in a row, with many tipping them as English Premier League title contenders this season.
After beating Arsenal at the Emirates on November 20, Redknapp claimed his side could win the league.
Since then, however, he has cooled his optimism.
Ahead of Spurs’ trip to Everton on Wednesday, Redknapp said: “It has been a great first half of the season but we got to keep going. We have got Everton next and that will be a tough game.”
“It’s wide open, with five teams battling for the top four positions. It’s there for someone to do and obviously United are favourites. Hopefully we are still in there.”
“I would not write Chelsea off. They will be right there at the end. They’ve been there and done it so many times. They’ve had a blip, but when they get their squad fit, they are a strong enough squad. ”
“Sir Alex Ferguson is not overly worried about us to be fair, he will see Arsenal Chelsea and even Manchester City – but we are still amongst them.”
“It’s an exciting second half of the season that they have something to look forward to.”
Redknapp admitted a move for former United midfielder David Beckham remained a prospect, although he is unsure whether he can persuade LA Galaxy to let the veteran leave on loan.
“I don’t know what’s happened there. Lots of clubs are interested – before we know where we are, the month will be gone. We will have to wait and see and it’s up to other people now,” Redknapp said.
“It is possible. I don’t know whether LA Galaxy will loan him, it’s their decision. We have to sort out the bits and pieces of it so all that is not down to me. It’s difficult.”
“At the moment we are playing well and Aaron Lennon has been in fantastic form for me. Beckham wouldn’t walk in and play right away but he’d great to have around the place.”
Defender Alan Hutton is doubtful for the trip to Goodison so Vedran Corluka may deputise, while William Gallas is fit to start and Peter Crouch should replace Roman Pavlyuchenko up front.
