Spurs planning second raid on Elland Road

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing a deal for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to the Mirror.

The North London club secured a deal for winger Jack Clarke last month, having paid £9m for the teenager before immediately loaning them back to the Championship favorites for the 2019/20 campaign.

Now they are looking at Phillips, who has racked up almost a hundred and forty appearances in all competitions since breaking into the Leeds first team a little over four years ago, scoring ten goals.

Seven of his goals came in the season before last, with his one and only strike last term coming in a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough back in February.

Aston Villa are also in the running for the twenty-three-year-old, who was named in last season’s Championship Team of the Year with Newcastle United also said to be interested.

Leeds United are the 9/2 favourites to win the Championship.
