Spurs pondering bid for Ander Herrera

Tottenham are weighing up a move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera, according to the People.

Despite bringing Scott Parker to White Hart Lane this summer, Harry Redknapp wants to bring at least another midfielder in January.

The experienced manager has now set his sights on Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera.

The 22-year-old only arrived to Bilbao earlier this summer, following an impressive performance at the Under-21 European Championship.

However, los Leones are reportedly ready to negotiate a deal in January, provided Tottenham offer around £15 million.

Tottenham scouts have already watched the player in action, but will have to wait before taking another look as Herrera is set to spend a month on the sidelines with a knee injury.
