Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp will allow Croatian international Niko Kranjcar to leave the club.
Kranjcar is keen on a move away from White Hart Lane, due to a lack of first-team action this season.
Redknapp said: “Niko really is looking to move.
“I had a chat with him yesterday and he wants to play. He doesn’t like playing on the right. He is not happy there. It doesn’t suit him.
“He wants to play off the left but Gareth has been playing there and been playing fantastic. He understands that.”
The Spurs boss added: “He’d like to play and I’ve said, ‘I understand that Niko and if someone comes in for you then you can go’. Unless he can find a good club here then I think he’ll go abroad.
“I think he’d look to go permanently. He’s well regarded around the world, he’s an international player, he got goals the other week for Croatia in the two games and he plays on the world stage.
“People know what a good player he is. He could play at a top team anywhere really.”
Liverpool and Chelsea are among the clubs reportedly interested in Kranjcar.
