A report from the Daily Mail is suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur could be ready to make a move for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll in the summer transfer window.
Carroll is of course on-loan at West Ham United for the English Premier League season and it is thought the deal has the option to go permanent at the end of the campaign.
However, Spurs look as though they are ready to step up their interest in the Geordie and boost their attacking options.
Ideally, the Londoners would like to bring Carroll to White Hart Lane in the January window, but he is unable to make that move due to regulations that do not allow someone to play for more than two clubs in a domestic season.
The Liverpool man has impressed in his loan spell at West Ham, but has failed to find the net for them yet.
Spurs are now set to monitor the form of the forward and should he add a number of goals for the Hammers in the top flight, then they will make a move for him in the summer.
It is certainly a story to keep an eye on and will be interesting to see what Liverpool’s asking price is.
