Spurs rekindle interest in Max Meyer

Sport Bild has learned that Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are keeping close tabs on Schalke midfielder Max Meyer.

The attacking midfielder developed into an important player for the Miners shortly after coming through the youth ranks and he is now being linked with a big club move.

Tottenham Hotspur already attempted to recruit the 21-year-old on two separate occasions this year and they seem to be readying a fresh assault.

Spurs are eager to try and secure the deal as quickly as possible considering that Schalke hope to tie down their star player to a new contract.

Considering that Meyer’s current deal is due to expire in June 2018, the Miners will have no choice but to cash in on his services if he rejects a contract extension.

Max Meyer has so far made a total of 146 competitive appearances for Schalke, scoring 20 goals and producing 22 assists.
