Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp insists that they have no plans of making a bid for Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll.
Reports on Sunday claimed Spurs were lining up a £30million bid for the England international, who has been a hit for Newcastle this season.
Redknapp admits that he would have liked to have Carroll in his team, but has no plans of making a move for the striker.
“He’s a good player, he’s a handful, you’d like to have him in your team,” Redknapp said.
“But we are nowhere near getting Andy Carroll. How much is he? You are talking £30million to 40million.”
