Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Belgium international Nacer Chadli from FC Twente, Sky Sports understands.
The 23 year old, who scored eighteen goals in thirty-eight appearances for the Eredivise side last season, is thought to have agreed terms on a five-year deal at White Hart Lane, after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £7m.
The winger will now join up with Spurs for pre-season training in Hong Kong subject to a medical, according to a statement from the club.
Both Swansea City and Aston Villa had been linked with Chadli, who scored at his new home ground when Twente were beaten 4-1 by Tottenham in a Champions League group match in 2010.
A dual citizen of Belgium and Morocco, he has fourteen caps for the Red Devils, and joins fellow Belgians Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen at the North London club.
However, he made his international debut for the African side in a friendly against Northern Ireland in 2010.
