Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signings of Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker from Sheffield United.
But the Londoners weren’t the only side to be pursuing Naughton, as Merseyside club Everton failed to lure the Blades player.
Naughton broke into the Blades’ side at the beginning of last season and never looked back, playing 40 league games in total.
Meanwhile, Walker forced himself into Kevin Blackwell’s side towards the end of last term after a spell on loan at League One side Northampton.
It is believed that Spurs will loan the 19-year-old defender back to the Bramall Lane club while Naughton will be looking to push Vedran Corluka and Alan Hutton for a starting berth at right-back.
