Out of respect for his past services to the club, Tottenham Hotspur have decided to allow Dele Alli to leave when the winter transfer window next month, according to The Telegraph. Meanwhile, head coach Jose Mourinho wants to keep hold of Harry Winks, who has also been linked with departure lately.
Since his arrival from MK Dons in 2015, the midfielder has made a total of 230 appearances for Spurs in all competitions, scoring 64 goals and assisting for further 56. His contract runs until the summer of 2024.
However, the 24-year-old hasn’t been able to win a place in Mourinho’s team this season and has mostly been used in the Europa League. He has started only one Premier League match, making an appearance off the bench in one more.
Spurs will ideally seek for a permanent transfer and the player’s full market value reflected by the price, but they would be open to a loan for the rest of the season as well in the hope that his performances elsewhere would help maintain the price, or even raise it.
Alli has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco and Everton in recent months.
