Spurs to bid for Berahino

The Telegraph is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are readying a January bid for West Brom hotshot Saido Berahino.

Spurs are desperate to add a quality forward to their ranks in spite of Harry Kane’s impressive season and the England starlet appears to be their primary target.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham are ready to start the bidding at £10 million, although it would probably take a substantial offer to prize Berahino away from the Hawthorns.

West Bromwich chiefs have admitted they would be unable to reject a big money proposal, although the Baggies are adamant there have been no approaches for their star player so far.

Berahino enjoyed an excellent start to the season, bagging seven goals in first nine league appearances, but he has struggled for form of late.

The 21-year-old received his first England call-up in November, but watched the Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and a friendly vs Scotland from the bench.
