French media outlet L’Equipe has learned that Tottenham Hotspur are hot on the trail of Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout.
The central midfielder was one of star performers in French Ligue 1 last season and in turn caught the eye of top European clubs.
According to L’Equipe, Tottenham aim to lure Veretout to White Hart Lane this summer and are reportedly readying a €15 million proposal.
And even if Nantes chiefs are not exactly keen on selling their prized asset, they would be forced to seriously consider any offer in said range.
Jordan Veretout, 22, came through the youth ranks at Stade de la Beaujoire and he has already amassed 130 league appearances, scoring 14 goals in the process.
The France Under-21 international was in excellent form last season, having managed 7 goals and 6 assists in 36 Ligue 1 starts.
Veretout is equally adept at playing as a defensive midfielder or further up the pitch.
