Spurs weighing up £7m Ings move

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a £7m move for Burnely’s Danny Ings, according to the Telegraph.

The North London club are hopeful of agreeing a deal for the England U21 international, who has hit four league goals for the Clarets so far this season.

Ings moved to the Lancashire club from Bournemouth in the summer of 2011, and has since turned out for them one hundred and ten times in all competitions, scoring thirty-six times.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring in another forward next month, with Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez and West Bromwich Alion’s Saido Berahino also on their raider.

However, with Rodriguez still out injured and Berahino valued at around £20m, Ings may prove to be a more viable option.

Spurs drew 0-0 with Manchester United at the weekend to remain off the Champions League qualification places, and they are priced at 6/1 to end the season in the top four.
