St Etienne eyeing Harry Novillo

French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Saint Etienne are considering a move on former Lyon starlet Harry Novillo.

Les Verts recently signed midfielder Landry N’Guemo on a free transfer to cope with injuries to Benjamin Corgnet and Renaud Cohade, and it appears they are ready to return to the free agent market.

Despite having Mevlut Erding, Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Allan Saint-Maximin at his disposal, coach Christophe Galtier aims to recruit another forward in January.

According to the latest reports, les Verts are ready to offer a contract to free agent Harry Novillo.

The 22-year-old terminated his deal with Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot some ten days ago, and he looks set to return to French Ligue 1.

Novillo came through the coveted Lyon youth academy, but went on to make just two league appearances for les Gones, before joining Clermont last summer. He has since featured in 12 league matches and scored two goals.
