Le 10 Sport is reporting that Ligue 1 high-flyers Saint Etienne are hot on the trail of Rennes midfielder Vincent Pajot.
Les Verts hope to secure European qualification through league finish and club officials are already thinking about summer reinforcements.
And while Saint Etienne are likely to enter the market for a proven goalscorer, they are also being linked with a move for Vincent Pajot.
The 24-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and les Verts appear to lead the chase for his signature.
Pajot is another impressive product of Rennes’ youth academy, and he has been regarded a first team regular at Stade de la Route de Lorient for several years now.
The highly rated footballer has so far made 81 Ligue 1 outings for les Bertons and scored 1 goal in the process.
Pajot seems to be looking for a new challenge and he is likely to be tempted by the interest from St Etienne.
