St Patrick’s Athletic travel to United Park to face Drogheda United in the Irish Airtricity League on Friday evening, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to climb two places up the table. St Pat’s are in fine form ahead of this week’s clash while United have been winless for some time.
As for the hosts, Pete Mahon’s Drogheda United side are currently rock bottom of the Irish Airtricity League table with 18 points from 23 games, coming off the back of five defeats from their last half a dozen outings. Drogheda haven’t won in their last 13 games and can’t buy a win at home either.
United haven’t won in their previous seven in their own backyard and the form of St Pat’s is likely to result in victory for the visitors. As for Liam Buckley’s side, Athletic are ninth in the division with 23 points from as many games, having won their last two outings and suffering only one defeat from five.
With the visitors having lost just two of their last eight games on the road, Bet 365 are giving odds of 4/7 for St Pat’s to win against Drogheda.
