Montpellier star Benjamin Satambouli has moved to confirm that he plans to leave his current employers in the summer, while hinting at a switch to England or Germany.
Having developed into one of league’s top midfielders while with la Paillade, the 23-year-old has decided to embark on a new challenge.
And with his contract at Stade de la Mosson set to expire in just over a year, this feels like a perfect moment to move on.
“It’s been ten years since I have been at Montpellier,” Stambouli said on Sports Night, a TV show on beIN SPORTS.
“A departure? Certainly, we’ll see, but it’s true I slightly prefer (a move) abroad, England or Germany, we’ll see.”
Benjamin Stambouli reportedly has a long list of suitors among Premier League clubs and a summer switch to England could be on the cards.
The 23-year-old has spent his entire career up to date at Montpellier, making a total of 109 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring 3 goals.
Weekend’s clash with PSG at Parc des Princes will be Stambouli’s final game for the club, and la Paillade are 11/1 to claim maximum points.
