The Belgian championship is set for a thrilling finale as Standard de Liege closed the gap with Anderlecht, beating Germinal Beerschot while the Brussels side drew 0-0 at Lokeren.

Germinal’s Vandenbergh did open the score at Standard on 15 minutes but the home side needed only six minutes for Axel Witsel to equalise.

Milan Jovanovic then made it 2-1 in the 33rd minute and Dieumerci Mbokani added another with seven minutes left to play.

As Anderlecht only earned one point from their match with Lokeren, they now share the lead with Standard. Anderlecht do have a better goal record.
