(GSM) – Internazionale president Massimo Moratti and midfielder Dejan Stankovic have given credit to Jose Mourinho after securing their fifth consecutive Serie A title.
Inter won the Scudetto by beating Siena 1-0.
“I am so very, very happy,” smiled Moratti, who is also celebrating his 65th birthday.
“We struggled right to the end, but it was a deserved trophy and the lads did brilliantly.
“Can we call this Mourinho’s Scudetto? Of course it is his title. Now we must focus on Madrid, as we need to do well in the Champions League Final as well to complete the Treble.”
Serbia international Stankovic also dedicated the triumph to his tactician.
“It is the fifth Scudetto in a row, we are so happy about that run. It was tough, but we did really well – the players, Coach, club, President and fans,” said the Serb.
“We thank Inter for having built a great squad and giving us the best Coach in the world, who made us understand just how strong we really are. Thank you.”
