La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij is seriously thinking about leaving Lazio at the end of the season.
Having successfully returned from injury, the Netherlands international is again on the radar of top European clubs, with Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United and AC Milan just some of his suitors.
Considering that De Vrij’s current deal is due to expire in June 2018, it is hardly surprising that his suitors are stepping up their interest.
And even though Lazio chiefs are ready to make the 24-year-old one of the highest paid footballers in the squad by offering him a new contract, the player is in no hurry to commit his future to the Biancocelesti.
De Vrij wants to see how the situation will unfold until the end of the season and he will not make a decision on his future before June.
Meanwhile, it is believed that both Bayern Munich and Chelsea are ready to match Lazio’s €35 million asking price.
