Sampdoria have confirmed the signing of young striker Stefan Scepovic on loan from OFK Belgrade till the end of the season. The Blucerchiati also have the option to buy his services on a permanent basis at the end of the loan period.

The 20 year old is a product of OFK Belgrade’s youth system and has also been capped by Serbia at U-21 level. He also spent time on loan at Mladni Radni during the 2008-09 season.

Scepovic becomes Samp’s fourth major signing of the winter transfer window. The club have already acquired Marco Storari,  Mario Cassano and Stefano Guberti and have made Scepovic the latest addition to their ranks.

After an impressive start to the season, Sampdoria currently lie a disappointing thirteenth in the Italian Serie A.  However they are only four points behind Palermo, who hold the final European spot.
