Stephan Lichtsteiner nears Juventus exit

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner is on the verge of leaving Juventus.

The 33-year-old had enjoyed several very successful seasons after joining from Lazio, but he eventually lost a starting place to Dani Alves.

The Brazilian has since left Turin, but Mattia De Sciglio arrived and with another right-back set to join, Lichtsteiner is looking for a way out.

According to Tuttosport, Nice are prepared to offer the Swiss footballer a very good deal to move to Allianz Riviera and the veteran defender is interested in moving to Ligue 1.

The deal will probably be delayed until Juventus sign him a replacement, with Joao Cancelo one of the first names on their hit-list.
